Firouzja grabs GCT

The 19-year old also came first ahead of Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in the Grand Chess Tour, adding an extra $100,000 to his $40,000+$97,500 tournaments’ prize money. The event was overshadowed by wildcard Magnus Carlsen walking out after a loss against last-minute replacement Hans Niemann who finished with four draws, two losses and 6th place.
