Online Ideas and Strategy for Chess Organisations
Webinar,
UTC+0200
Zoom (Link will be announced to participants)
While over the board chess has come to a standstill, chess on the internet is thriving. How can your federation or club use the increased interest?
The digital chess platforms report record attendance. Many families have picked up chess during the lockdown. The media interest is high, some of the most prestigious newspapers and magazines are reporting on the chess boom. FIDE is embracing the trend with its Checkmate Coronavirus initiative and a digital Chess Olympiad. Chess federations and clubs have shifted meetings, training and some of their competitions online.
What else can and should you do now? How can you use the increased interest in chess? What can be learned from initiatives of the last two months? Which strategies are possible and work best for your organisation? How should you apply social media?
This workshop will tackle these questions through expert presentations, interviews, question time and small group work during breakaway sessions.
